“In a hasty bout of love-making, the young woman still wears her hat (ageboshi) and toed socks (tabi).”

Their love-making position was very popular with Ukiyo-e artists because it enabled a more naturalistic depiction of the genitalia and endowed the composition with a tension likened to a tightly strung bow.
